It is a protein amino acid that creates protein structures (eg collagen), but also acts as a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Glycine is involved in the production of DNA, phospholipids and collagen, and also has a significant effect during the release of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which contain high-energy bonds that are necessary for all life processes.
